Joined-up support

Support that fits around the St George health services

The St George area is well served by health services, and many participants here are already moving between a GP, a specialist, a clinic and sometimes the hospital at Kogarah. When your NDIS support does not talk to any of that, small things slip, a dressing missed, a medication change nobody passed on.

We work to close those gaps. Our nurses and support workers coordinate with the health services you already use, keep clear notes, and make sure the right information travels with you between an appointment and home.

Hurstville also has a very large Chinese community, so we match workers on language and culture where that helps you feel understood.

Local knowledge

Across the Georges River area

The council runs from Hurstville and Kogarah in the north down to the river at Oatley, Blakehurst, Connells Point and Kyle Bay, taking in Mortdale, Penshurst, Riverwood and Kingsgrove along the way. The northern centres are dense and hilly, while the southern suburbs sit quietly along the water.

We plan support around that terrain and around your appointments, so a worker heading to Kogarah in the morning is not the same one expected down at Oatley minutes later. Realistic timing keeps support dependable.

The difference

Nursing and support that stay in step

Where a participant has both clinical and everyday needs, the handover is where things usually go wrong. We keep our nurses and support workers on the same page, sharing clear notes, so a wound care plan or a medication change is not news to the person helping you the next morning.

With a very large Chinese community in Hurstville and Kogarah, we match on language and cultural background where it helps, and we keep support discreet and respectful in tight-knit local streets.
