One council, two ends

Melton township and Caroline Springs are the same council, not the same commute

The City of Melton is really two different places sharing one council name. Melton, Melton South, Melton West and Kurunjang form the older township in the west, a country town with its own main street long before Melbourne's suburbs reached anywhere near it. Head east along the Western Freeway and it's a different Melton: Caroline Springs, Burnside, Taylors Hill and Hillside, newer estates built from the mid-1990s onward and closer to the Brimbank border than to the town centre they share a council with. Rockbank and Cobblebank sit in the gap, still filling in with new housing.

Melton is regularly named one of the fastest-growing council areas in Victoria, and most of that growth is on the eastern side, in estates that can be years ahead of the services that usually follow new housing. A new street in Hillside or a new stage in Taylors Hill might not even show up properly on an older map, and the nearest established shops can still be a genuine drive away. An older street in Melton township has the opposite problem: decades of infrastructure, but a town that sits further out, past where the freeway starts to feel like open country.

We treat those two ends as the two different jobs they actually are. A worker rostered for a morning in Melton township and an afternoon in Caroline Springs is crossing the whole council, not popping around the corner, so the drive is built into the plan rather than squeezed into a gap that doesn't exist. It also means being upfront when a new estate is still catching up on street signage, instead of promising a visit time we can't keep. In a council this spread out, being honest about travel is most of the job.

Two ends of the map

From the Melton township to the Caroline Springs growth corridor

The City of Melton stretches from the established township of Melton, Melton South, Melton West and Kurunjang, out past newer pockets like Rockbank and Cobblebank, to Caroline Springs, Burnside, Hillside and Taylors Hill near the Brimbank border. The Western Freeway ties it together, running from the Brimbank border through Caroline Springs and Melton before continuing on as the Western Highway towards Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat. The same railway line serves both ends too, with its own station at Caroline Springs and another out at Melton, stops apart rather than a quick change.

That layout is why we plan visits around which end of Melton someone lives in. A worker starting the day around Melton township isn't realistically also covering a new estate near Caroline Springs a few hours later, so we roster by side of the council first, then match on language, gender and routine. It keeps the drive honest and the visit on time.

What we do

NDIS services we provide across Melton

Here's what that looks like day to day, whether you're on an older street in Melton township or a newer one in Caroline Springs, Burnside, Hillside or Taylors Hill.

Assistance with personal activities in Melton

Showering, dressing, grooming and other personal care runs on a routine, and that routine has to survive Melton's real geography, not an idealised map of it. We roster around the actual drive, so a morning that starts on an older Melton West street or a new build in Hillside isn't rushed because the last visit ran late across the council.

Household tasks in Melton

Cleaning, laundry and general household tasks look different in an established Melton township home with a settled garden than in a newer place in Taylors Hill or Burnside, where the block might still be freshly landscaped. We fit the support to the actual house, not a generic checklist, and factor the drive either way into the schedule.

Social and community participation in Melton

Getting to Woodgrove Shopping Centre, a group around Melton township, or Lake Caroline and the Caroline Springs Town Centre depends on which end of the council you're in, and we plan the trip accordingly rather than assume it's a short hop. In a newer estate where facilities are still being built, that can mean a longer drive to somewhere established, and we say so upfront.

Nursing care in Melton

Our registered nurses provide wound care, medication support, continence support and complex care planning at home, and getting that timing right across a spread-out council means real travel time between an older Melton township address and an estate near Caroline Springs. Clinical visits are planned with the drive included, so a scheduled review doesn't slip because the last one was on the other side of the municipality.

Two ends, no shortcuts

We roster Melton like the two places it actually is

Plenty of providers quote Melton as though it's one compact suburb and work out the logistics later, on the day, at your expense. We do it the other way around: whether an enquiry comes from an older street in Melton township or a brand new estate in Hillside or Taylors Hill, we plan the roster around the real drive first, so a visit doesn't slip because the council turned out to be bigger than the map suggested.

We're a registered NDIS provider, number 4-L7JCZ6S, audited against the NDIS Practice Standards, and a service-area provider across Melton rather than a branch based inside it. Every worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and police check, first aid and CPR, and follows the NDIS Code of Conduct. Workers are matched by language, gender, cultural background and daily routine, with professional interpreters used for anything written or formal, never a child.

Getting set up

How we set up support on your side of Melton

  1. 1

Tell us which end of Melton you're in

A free call about your NDIS plan and support needs, and where in the council you live: an older street in Melton township or a newer estate around Caroline Springs, Burnside, Hillside or Taylors Hill. That shapes who we roster and how the visit is timed.

  2. 2

We check the drive, not just the calendar

Before we confirm a worker, we work out the realistic travel time for that address, including whether a newer estate is still catching up on street signage or a bus stop. It's a quick check that helps avoid a late first visit.

  3. 3

You get a fixed, upfront quote

A free, fixed-price quote in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, with no call-out fee, whichever end of Melton you're calling from.

  4. 4

Support starts on a real date

Once your funding and details are confirmed, you're given an honest start date on that first call, built around a roster that accounts for the drive across the council rather than assuming it away.

Good to know

Melton NDIS questions we are asked most

Is Ahsan Care a registered NDIS provider for Melton?

Yes. Ahsan Care Provider is a registered NDIS provider, number 4-L7JCZ6S, audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. That registration covers support across the whole City of Melton, from the older township to the newer eastern estates.

Which parts of the City of Melton do you actually cover?

The whole council, including Melton township and the eastern growth suburbs of Caroline Springs, Burnside, Hillside and Taylors Hill. We're a service-area provider with no branch office inside Melton, but the roster reaches both ends, not just the suburbs closest to Melbourne.

How quickly can support start somewhere like Melton township or Caroline Springs?

Usually within about a week once your details and funding are confirmed, with a real start date given on the first call. A brand new address in a growth estate can occasionally take a little longer to roster, and we'll say so upfront.

I live in Melton township. Will my support worker also be rushing in from Caroline Springs?

No. We roster by which end of the council someone lives in, rather than stretching one worker across the whole municipality in a day. A worker whose round covers Melton, Melton South and Kurunjang isn't also trying to fit in an estate near Caroline Springs on the same shift.

My house in Hillside or Taylors Hill is on a fairly new street. Does that cause problems for support?

It means a little more planning, not less support. New estates sometimes catch up on signage or nearby facilities after the houses are finished, so we confirm access before the first visit rather than trust an old map or GPS.

Melton is growing fast. Does that affect how reliable support is once it starts?

We plan for it rather than let it catch us out. The council keeps adding new estates in the east while the western township stays much as it's always been, so we roster with realistic travel time between the two and adjust as new streets open up.
